A Ukrainian councilor detonates several grenades during a town hall plenary session

This Friday, a Ukrainian councilor detonated several grenades inside the town hall of the town of Keretsk, in the Transcarpathian region, in western Ukraine, as reported by the Ukrainian National Police on its social networks .

A total of 26 people were injured by the explosions, which were recorded on video.

The images were published by the police, who referred the matter to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), considering it a possible terrorist attack. Six of the injured are in serious condition.

The adviser who detonated the grenades is also under investigation for illegal use of weapons, ammunition or explosives, an offense covered by Ukraine’s criminal code.

According to Ukrainian public television, the advisor in question is Sergei Bratin, from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s party, Sluga Narodu (Servant of the People).
