Israel and Hamas agree to four-day ceasefire that begins Thursday with the release of hostages

The pumps will stop Loop. After 47 days of war, the Government of Israel accepted this Tuesday agreement with the Islamist group Hamas for the release of 50 kidnapped in the Gaza stripin exchange for release 150 Palestinian prisoners and a four-day truce. The agreement will enter into force on THURSDAY at 10:00 a.m. (local). Hours before the announcement, Hamas had already announced that “the ball” was “in Israel’s court” after the group informed mediators from Qatar and Egypt of its position on the deal. The deal cost the Israeli government a lot of sweat and effort after a tense meeting that lasted until dawn. All members of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s executive branch voted in favor of the exchange and truce, with the exception of three ministers from the far-right Jewish Power Party (Otzma Yehudit) and the minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir.
